blacklit LCD Display how to repair

Can somebody try to explain me,

1. what are the common cause of blacklit LCD Display damage?

2. How to troubleshoot it?

3. What are your recommendations how to fix it?

What do you mean do a 'backlit LCD display'?.

Such items would normally require the entire display replacing.

I leave it up to you. I have so much crap going on now I cannot even think straight. Messy.

In some respects you have to define LCD display.

In a large and tiny displays, the backlight was initially done with a tiny florescent light (CFL's) and a high voltage driver. Now they are done with LED's.

The CFL can be replaced and the inverter is usually external. Don't know about the LED display. A reverse polarity MAY let out the magic smoke.
