How can i convert binary to bcd such that when the no. in binary is 9 it convert into 0 in bcd.then we connect 7-segment decoder, that take input in bcd & when in binary 9 comes it appears as 0 on 7-segment??what type of circuit is placed to convert binary to bcd in this manner??? we also have to use ic's.

hi hero,
That 'binary to to 7seg converter' link is misleading.
The 7447 is a BCD to 7 segment converter, there used to be a binary to hex converter many years ago, not seen one for ages.

This question from the OP comes around often, IIUC he wants to convert a binary number into to displayed decimal 2 digits.
So binary 0x0f would be displayed as decimal 1 5.

Seems we went through this same exercise in this thread just a couple weeks ago...

Same question, same answers apply, different OP.

Yes, you're right, I misunderstood the question.
