Beginning Robotics?

I have a Technology Club at school and we are interested in building a robot.

I would appreciate your thoughts and advice about getting started.

There are a lot of data out there but you need to know exactly what you want to do, how much money you have to do it and how much time.

There is a great article in the Seattle robotics society: ... this should be a good starting point. Some cool stuff to get you motivated:

I highly recomend lego mindstorms **broken link removed**. The best thing about using Lego is that you can do as much with it as you can imagine without having to fabricate parts.
