U can actually make anything that has microcontroller ie from dtmf to adc's or from stepper motors to mobile based applications. U just interface systems like microcontroller + LCD and/or max232 and/or RFID IC and/or 4X4 keyboard and/or serial cable mobile and/or thyristors and/or 555 and so on. You have only to INTERFACE the given things properly. You can find lots of emulators/assemblers/crosscompilers across the web also the code required is also available in samples, not the whole ,you have to do that. Just try to think of interface which is the key.
