hey, first time user. I'm at 6th form and am doing a project. I basicly need to cascade 3 BCD ICs (4028 i think) to go to an output of 3 x 4 LEDS. it will be used as a teaching aid to teach binary coded decimal. if anyone knows anywhere i can find circuit help or any info on BCD chips id be well greatful. thanks

Is this what you want to do? A little more description would help.

I only want a single input, either from a switch or a pulse from another IC. then i would like 3 chips to be connected so that i get a BCD count of up to 999
