Hi
In a new project i have to use a 12v/4AH Lead-free battery.
I am looking at these options: Li-Ion,Ni-Mh,Ni-Cd
Which among these will be the cheapest ,easiest to charge and available easily?

Any pointers will be of immense help
Thanks and regards

Hi

12V Lead Acid.

Li-Ion, expensive, hard to charge.
Ni-Mh, moderately expensive, hard to charge, crappy self-life
Ni-Cad; obsolete.

Hey MikeMI

Thanks for getting back soon.
But the opening line of my post said "i have to use a 12v/4AH Lead-free battery."
which should eliminate the Lead acid battery!
So Ni-Mh is the only better option?

ROHS is Bullcrap! Lead Batteries are almost 100% recycled, while the others on your list end up in landfills.
