:D hi,

are trying to identify which of the three pins is the base terminal? am not familiar with that transistor, does it have a TO-92 case or TO-220. if TO-220, usually it is BCE.

here is an easy tecknic to identify pins. set your multimeter to the 1K range. put your probe to the first pin and the third pin, if you get a very high or infinite reading the middle pin is the base. if you probe the second and third pin and get a very high reading the first pin is your base. if you probe the first and second pin and get a high reading the third pin is the base. :D
 
Both of those devices are in TO-92 cases. Here is a pic to show you the pin locations...
