How do you controll the vol with a transistor for a audio input to output with no amp?

I want to keep the signal the same and just drop the vol but want to use only one slide pot to controll two transistors for stereo.

You do not even need the transistor. A slider potentiometer alone will do it. Its resistance will depend on the source and load impedances; try -say 500 Ohms- in series with your audio line. It is called attenuator.
