atmel 89serial programmer help.

hi all,
i have made an atmel 89series programmer.i connected it to computer.the software i used was proload.
the problem is that...
my board is getting detected by the software.
but the chip i want to burn is not getting detected.
i have checked for all shorts.nothin is their.
can any1 help me regarding this?

have more information about your 8051 programmer ?
