ATMega88 Programming

I am using the ATMega88 microcontroller for my project.

I am going to do the programming of a microcontroller for the first time.Please can someone help me to program ATMega 88??
It would be helpful if u could clearly specify in steps how i should proceed.

I would like to know how the procedure is done using C program as well as Assembly program.

Also I would like to know the relation of the following softwares in relation to ATMegaa88 programming:
1. AVR Studio
2. IAR Embedded Workbench® for AVR®
3. Keil Compiler
