Are glass jars suitable for storing ESD sensitive components?

Here's an odd question... Is glass safe for storing static sensitive MOS devices? Obviously it's not static dispersive, but does it have any tendency to build up a static charge in the way that plastic does?
Only asking since glass food jars are convenient storage containers, but should their use be restricted to non-sensitive components?

You should keep static sensitive devices in a conductive container, ordinary glass is an insulator.

I think that glass can hold a surface charge of static electricity, so best not to use it for ESD sensitive devices.

I always keep ESD sensitive components in the same bag/tube/tape that they shipped in. But it should be OK to put THAT ESD safe container inside a glass jar.

Don't skimp on proper static dispersive storage seems to be the consensus then - advice taken.

The only thing I've ever used is that black conductive foam stuff, I dont remember ever having one fail.
