Have I got this right.
If you setup timer1's capture module when the capture input pin goes active timer 1's value gets copied into the capture register, synchronized to the chips instruction clock.
Ie as soon as a capture is made it doesnt matter how long the chip takes to read the value it doesnt change, it remains as it was when the capture became active and the next instruction clock went high.
I want to count pulses from a clock source (timer1's ext clock) and gate them using the capture function using hardware.
