It looks like some kind of a switch, I would guess. I just don't know which one specifically.

I would suggets you approach technical assistant at your school/workshop at you place of study or work.
They know a lot of this stuff.

that's a symbol for an analog bidirectional switch (or bilateral?). this means it can pass analog signals in either direction.
