I have no idea!!!

it states 15M-046G on it. Dunno if its broken or not but the 2 poles it has conduct (in 2 ways).

Its taken out of a battery pack of a portable drill.
The pack had 3 contacts + - and one goes to this part.
the other side of the part is connected to negative.

what could it be?

Tks

p.d. the package of the battery describes also that from + to this terminal generates a short.

Mystery object.

Hi TKS,

Every battery pack has an internal thermal fuse in direct
contact with the batteries.

on1aag.

most likely it's a thermal switch that open-circuits when the temperature is too high, protecting the battery in the event that it heats up too much during charging or use.

Maybe take a lighter or a match to it and see if it OC's.

thanxs guys it wil be the then..

what would be approx a temp that it will operate?? 40degree celcius?? 50?

Tks
