Any tips on Pickit2 Logic/Uart tools

I'm about to do some learning with these tools.
Thought i'd ask for advice on their use from those who have tried em out..

Here are a couple applications where the PICkit came in handy:

The logic analyzer and UART tool are my reason for recommending a PICkit 2 over the PICkit 3. These tools are very useful.

nope it don't have the pickit2 goodies

No, PICkit 3 left off these useful features. There was a huge outcry when the "new and improved" PICkit was introduced at a higher price and lacking useful features. They've been promised for the future.
