Any Suggestions for design?

I am looking to build a receiver to listen to air plane traffic in my area. I have found a couple of designs but they use outdated and unavaliable parts. Here's an example:

Super improved AM-Receiver for Aircraft.

The MC13136 and LMX2337 are no longer avaliable.

I like the idea of using a PLL circuit so I don't have to individually tune to a freq.
Does anyone have a more up-to-date design they would be willing to share or does anyone have any suggestions on replacement components for the ones that are no longer avaliable?

I'm new to RF designs so I would appreciate any suggestions and help.
