any reason why i would not get email notifications

My hosting company recently decided they were going to move their servers so my emails were in chaos for 1 week.

now they work but I posted a thread on here and got 10 replies an no notification email, could it have been caused by this forum or is it likely that i need to give my hosting provider a telling off and then change company ?
