I made this from a thermal controller, probably from the late 40's.
The hour is displayed on 2 mini russian nixie tubes, and the minutes are displayed on themoving coil meter, 600 being 60.
3 boards, one 5v and 200v supply, 200v from a trusty 555 circuit, a board with 2 nixies a 4017 and a handfull of trannys, and the processor board with a pic16f886 and a watch crystal.
I did code for having time set through buttons, but I didnt fit them as you can do it via rs232, as well as calibrate the scale, regenerate the nixies etc.
Sits on my desk at work, something else for them not to understand.
