angle measuring unit... PIC18F4331...help needed..

Hi frnds,
i am using a Two Channel Optical encoder(HEDS-9000)... its having 2 o/p tracks(pulse) of different phase... how can i count the angular motion using QEI of Pic18f4331... plz suggest in detail...

That part is a quadrature encoder. How are you going to use it to measure an angle?

Edit:

Do you want to measure the rotation of a wheel or disc?

Use an accelerometer DE-ACCM 2g Buffered 2 Axis Accelerometer

yes exactly Mr. Blueroomelectronics.... there is disc & i want to count the rotation of it.... help plz..

1. Go to Microchip.com
2. Type "quadrature encoder" in the search bar
3. Under "Refine your search", click on "Application Notes"

rotation count.... help needed(pic18f4331)

can someone help me to write a simple code:
that can count rotation of a disc through QEI & HEDS-9000 optical encoder...
