hi ya'all...

i want to make a simple alternating buzzer\beeper (the sound have to be alternating and not creapy straight buzzer sound) that will sit in my car and will remind me when i forget to turn off my lights. the buzzer needs to be the simplest. it dont have to be loud at all, just noticable.

the input voltage prefered for the circuit is 12-14v.

i've got a lot of 555's that i think can be usefull...

any suggestions will great...tnx:)

My sugestion would be to put together a schematic of how you think it should work and post it for others to comment on.

You can buy two tone buzzers from all stores that do components.

Get a new car. Mine turns the lights on and off automatically.

Here's another way to do it, kinda like the circuit on Tony van Roon's site.

first of all tnx roff :)
secondly, is there a way to make a simple siren/alarm sound without a two tone buzzer? say, a small 8ohm speaker, a piezo speaker like that --> **broken link removed**

To boldly go . . .

Hi Ferez,

You want some sort of a siren with 555's, well here's one.
Replace IVm2 with the piezo.
I hope you like Star Trek. :D

Couldn't you draw your schematic so it's a little harder to comprehend?:D

I steal all my designs from others therefore I have to draw them
by hand so that the original designers wouldn't recognise them. :D

Hi Ferez,

I built this thing a long time ago, I tested it with a mid-range
speaker and a piezo tweeter. The mid-range speaker gave the
nicest sound but there was an audible click between the bursts.
The piezo tweeter didn't suffer from this click but the sound was
not as good as that from the speaker.
Both made a lot of noise !
