is there a chip which counts pulses into binary and them decodes them into seven segment display and then also resets to 0 at 9? or do i need to use binary counter, BCD and a load of logic?

what is the msb/carry output ? sorry about all the annoying question but im not good with counters.

also what reset? to the BCD? does a decoder even have a reset?

With a BCD counter, you shouldn't have to feed anything back. They do it automatically.
