I imagine that there are formulas – and descriptions of formulas, that describe the behavior of lightening. Could one of these formulas be helpful? One major difference might be that formulas for lightening may involve converging forces in the atmosphere. Though, there may be some distance formula that relates variables that he may be interested in to the definition of the distance between the beginning and end of lightning bolts, or the length of the sections of lightening bolts. I don’t know what the definition of the beginning of a lightning bolt is – whether the definition is visual, physical, generalized, etc.
