Hi every one I am new to the forum and I hope you will help me.

I am building a project that requires a circuit that will activate a relay from every other input pulse. I would be using a magnetic switch activated from magnets mounted on a spinning wheel that will be rotating At low RPM.

Cheep and Easy is best!

Your help sure would be welcome.

Thanks Hardhead:

You need a divide by 2 counter, better known as a D-Type flip flop. Have a look here. A common D-Type FF is the 74LS74, this actually contains 2 flip flops.

Mike.

I'd recommend the CD4013 because it has a wider voltage rating.

You can use a MOSFET like the 2N7000 or a BJT like the 2N2222A to drive the relay.

Here is an alternative that avoids ICs.
