AC relay

What is the difference between AC relay and DC relay.

Is it same. Will DC relay works with ac .


Could you please explain to me.

An AC relay has an internal rectifier to make dc out of the ac...
A DC relay doesn't have this...
 
That was a problem I once had: my relay just buzzed. :D Basically you can use an Ac relay on Dc but not the other way around.

Actually, most AC relays have a shaded pole, much like an AC solenoid or a shaded-pole motor. These don't have (or need) rectifiers.
