about Gyroscope?

Can you tell me exactly how digital gyroscope is able to give us digital readings about angular rotation?
Actually whats in there in gyroscope to sense the rotation??

It is described in every digital gyro datasheet, they use a tiny mass on a spring load system using capacitive sensors to measure deflection. The gyro sensors measure rotational acceleration/deceleration (not actual rotation).

Alternatively, some accelerometers (gyros) work by measuring heat convection. Here' s a description of the technology on the MEMSIC site: **broken link removed**

You may want to download and study application note an-00mx-001 from that site. In addition, Microchip has an application note (AN996) that describes a 3-axis gyro system for an aircraft using a MEMSIC thermal accelerometer.
