8051, Atmel, PIC, Motorola?

Ok, here's another burning question. I love to learn some more about embedded devices - will actually learning ALL of these 8051, Atmel, PIC and other brands of Microcontrollers usually help? Or will it look good on the resume? Any opinions on this?

Learning to program is tricky. When you can program proficiently in a language then you can program in any language. It is the techniques of programming that are hard to master.
