Very basic: There must be a load for the 7805 to operate correctly. Datasheet: https://www.engineersgarage.com/sites/default/files/7805.pdf Last edited: Feb 5, 2014

cowboybob Well-Known Member Most Helpful Member Feb 5, 2014 #9 A 47 microfarad, polarized capacitor (as is the 100u component), used for "smoothing" the DC. The "load" is a term used to signify what the output (power) of the regulator is suppling power to. Is Ernakulam on the Arabian Sea?

Can I use 220uF in place of 100uF capacitor Because I need to test the circuit now itself And I'm using it to USB charge a mobile phone . Do I need to connect anything as a part of load and And how are the terminals named is it facing front or back Yes its in Arabian sea

It has pretty pictures.

SujithZis Member Feb 5, 2014 #12 Okay got it .... also how should I connect the grounds Should I connect all the negatives and ground from if into a singlejoimt and and use it as negative terminal
