What is your input voltage?

JimB

A 47 microfarad, polarized capacitor (as is the 100u component), used for "smoothing" the DC.

The "load" is a term used to signify what the output (power) of the regulator is suppling power to.

Is Ernakulam on the Arabian Sea?

Can I use 220uF in place of 100uF capacitor
Because I need to test the circuit now itself

And I'm using it to USB charge a mobile phone . Do I need to connect anything as a part of load and

And how are the terminals named is it facing front or back

Yes its in Arabian sea

Did you look at the data sheet? It has pretty pictures.

Okay got it .... also how should I connect the grounds

Should I connect all the negatives and ground from if into a singlejoimt and and use it as negative terminal
