So i am try to build a simple timer switch and can't get it to work. I used this shematic and calculator to determine resistors and caps, but the led isn't turning on and off.

I have seen many different ways of wiring this so i am not sure that this is correct. The pin 2 to pin 6 connection isn't used on every schematic i have seen, neither is the .01uf cap. I have checked for shorts, but couldn't find anything.
