Hi all....
I need to build an oscillator using descrete
components for a project im doing..
i would like to keep it as simple as possible.
only thing it must have a fixed 50KHz output. would anybody out there have any ideas or circuit diagrams that might be helpfull..
I would really appreciate any help or input with this...

hi,
Have a look at this option.:)

Astable Multivibrator

i need a square wave output. i was looking at different circuit diagrams but am having difficulty with the values of the components to give a 50khz wave...

a 555 timer is cheap and straight foward. It's adjustable duty cycle can give a square wave.

hi kb,
The OP said it must be discrete components.. not ic's.. no idea why, except it may be a school assignment.:)
