2N4403 is a standard type, PNP in a TO-92 case -- NTE159 will replace it, but is likely to be more expensive. On Semi datasheet here, Mouser stocks it an both Vishay and Central product lines. NTE159 is about 8 times the cost of the 2N4403 at Mouser...
