Another noob question.

I am totally confused by the naming convention.

What is the difference between transistor 2n2222A & KSP2222A?

Isn't 2222 supposed to show the functionality of the transistor?

So basically, they are the same?

yes.
Its prolly just a package change. KSP versus 2N.
