I need to continously monitor the power level of 4 car batteries arranged in two banks to give me a 24v power supply. The monitor needs to be small, drawing little power due to the always on feature, and have an obvious display. I would prefer an LED array in a traffic light style display.

I'm sure such a device would be quite easy to design and build, but as my knowledge is quite limited, I need help!

You could try this one, if you change the zeners to appropriate sizes.
