230V AC current Sense

Guys I need a small circuit where I need to turn on a LED when the AC current reaches above 1A.

It means I'm applying this circuit before going to 230V AC/50Hz load. When the load takes above 1A then the LED must be light up.

How to do that?

Thanks

You could use a current-sense resistor in series with the load, and monitor the voltage developed across the resistor.
Or you could use a current transformer with one wire to the load being a one-turn primary of the transformer, the transformer output being monitored.
Or you could use a Hall-effect sensor close to one wire to the load.
