Hi all, more of a electrical question that electronic but I want to set up two pir sensors in my driveway. one will be by the gate, and one by the house. This will then switch on the exterior lights A: when a car drives in, and/or B: when someone walks out the house.

Is this possible with normal exterior pir's? I can't think of a way to wire them that would work?

thanks

Hi Duffy, that is great many thanks! I guess PIR's protected against current on their switched side, when they are not switched on? If that makes sense!

Thanks again

Yes - it uses a "triac" that works like an open switch when it's off, so no problem.

Just make sure that the live and neutral go to the same wires on each PIR.
