Hi, Have a JVC CA-MD9R stereo looks like it works but no sound is coming out of the speakers. There seems to be a faulty component (2 pole miniature power PC board relay) on the circuit board directly behind the speaker connections. There is a volatage across the two input pins but nothing across the output and a dry brown residue around one side of the bottom of the component. The component details are:
OEG
OSA-SS-224DM3 24DVC
5A 50AVC
3A 125 VAC \ 30VDC

Anyone know how I can obtain one without having to buy 800 at a time? Have tried Maplin and RS components with no luck and JVC service line didnt seem too sure.

That's the speaker protection relay - and it's almost certainly NOT faulty.

The amp is duff (one or both channels blown) and the relay is doing it's job, protecting the speakers.
