100Vdc current regulator?

not wanting to steal another posters thread i'll start my own.

is using a lm338 as a current regulator, but it is rated at a lower voltage than i need.
1- is there a way to scale or other wise use this chip at a higher voltage?

2- is there another chip that i haven't been able to find that will regulate 100vdc to 5 amps?

3- can these (if there is one) be used to control, by switching on one or more at a time, out put from a 100v @ 20 amp basic power supply
( transformer - bridge rectifier - filter cap)?
