hey guys,

I need a simple circuit that will enable me to have a time delay on to a relay that is variable from approx. 2 to 10 sec. without the use of of a 555 timer. I would greatly appreciate suggestions.
I would like to use 12vdc and for the relay to turn on and remain on.

Do you want the relay to turn-on immediately and turn off after a 0-10 Sec delay? Or, do you want the relay to turn-on and remain-on after a 0-10 Sec delay? Is this a DC circuit?...5v?..12v?...24V? Or, an AC circuit?...120V...240V

You may use and RC network with an addition of a shmitt trigger gate!
