I just wondered if µP controlled ignition cars could be started without a battrey....by pushiung it down the road...

If ignition is timed by µP will it work ?

I know this is an electronics form....but still woindered if some one could say something...

Probably not 'without' a battery, even if the engine started the excessive output of the alternator would probably blow all the electronics on the car!.

But with a flat battery, assuming there's enough charge to run the electronics, you should be able to do it.

Maybe yes, maybe no. It depends how low the battery is. And of course definitely not if it's an automatic.
