I've been lucky to land jobs with cutting edge technology, and late nites for decades allowed me to retire at 55.
Started in Aerospace, Doppler tracking, designed SCADA controllers, in late 70's then T1 BB WAN testers for worlds 1st T1 home trial with pay TV ISDN full alarm monitoring on coax or fibre in early 80's then Disk Drive Mfg Test Eng Mgr for Unisys 11yrs then Automated Meter Reading only 2way succesful wireless technology yet using ISM band. I was also Operations Mgr at this R&D company of 60. .. ENg Mgr at CMA contract Mfg and Design Services Mgr Helped West Palm Beach test Iridum Satphone 6GHz chips and invented M1 head-mounted TV VGA monitor.
Now Retired and sometimes distribute custom LED components to ODM's 100k pcs/yr and do forensic investigations for companies with big technical problems. Just ask.
