    Disassembler for PIC18F2550

@blueroomelectronics...a short and useful answer:D Thanks. I'm just a bit ashamed that i didn't played anought with MPLAB's menu's to find that out myself. @Pommie I've imported the hex (File/import..) having selected the right device (configure/select device..). After that i've selected the...

    Disassembler for PIC18F2550

Got some 18f2550 apps and I have only the .HEX. Now I need to modify them. Manual disassembly isn't a option due to the size of the program and my limited knowledge about the actualy machine code. Can u give me a link to a PIC18F disassembler (a free one if i'm not asking to much:D )?

is a smps ok for a pic

like .5A claims Roman. I'l stay below 250mA thought. The picture of the scope's screen sugest that he built it and worked.

    making pcb's

About blue P&P transfer paper i think it's a waste of money. With some good q magazine paper (like Metropolitan or PLayboy ) u can get the same results. I get those mags for free. Even if I buy them (like 3-5$/issue) it's OK Geting a Playboy .......for the paper... :D...nice one..LOL

    how to detect the voltage?

U want to monitor the voltage of the bat or just to see if it's below a certain treshhold? For the second idea u could use the internal comparator. Ul just need a voltage reference and a voltage divider. About the software...familiar with the PIC's but never used a SX. FOr the first idea...

    making pcb's

Yes I had...but i sprayed 3 layers (dry-spray-dry ...) with the spray kept at the same distance so i could get a ~2inches line. The PCB came OK. Since then i buy coated boards (like 2$..~8x4 inches):D . Now i'm trying to get some polyvynilic alcohol, make my one coating solutions and use the...

    making pcb's

I tend to like photoresist method. U can make fine PCB's at a low cost. For the exposure u can use a "black light" tube (the blue-ish ones used in disco)...pref a cheap one (emits more UV). U can use a Inkjet printer (just buy some inkjet film). About the special board u can buy them or make...

no idea what this is. 40 pin dip

Prob is a industrial or internal code. U could search at the company that made the equipment. Pretend u want to repair it:p. Usualy u get no answer....but ... I got a small bag of unindentified IC's...like a HUGE-M10 for example:p

Problems with programming (aka Why are you doing this to me?!)

I Hate JDM-s!! Never semed to work on my computer. U could make a RCD programer. Here's the link: **broken link removed** I replaced the 10K pot with a fixed resistor. Works OK with 12f629/675/683, 16f628A. Never tried it with a 16f84 (I don't use the chip)..u might want to use a pot or put a...

    Programing a 12f683 with a AN589 based programer

    Programing a 12f683 with a AN589 based programer

T Y for your answers. The idea that seems to program the 12f629/675 made me wonder. Because i only buy 12f683 (is cheaper than 629/675 and easyer to find.) I had to make a dedicated programer...asked about it on this forum. The one I want to build it's a gift for someone who just...
