    Stepper motor ...

Hi, I guess mistery is solved. I found this one, similar to mine and it has 0.4amp with 30 Ohm resistance. My motor is the silver/black one. Now I can adjust the A4988 and do some tests with my arduino and CNC shield. Thanks Rainer

    Stepper motor ...

Hi, It is a NEMA17 (42mm square or 1.7x1") and 32mm long and yes I am sure it is not for 110V as I used it already many years ago. I bought it from POLOLU and looked at their website and they do not have that motor anymore. Thanks Rainer

    Stepper motor ...

Hi, I bought a stepper motor many many years ago and forgot the amperage rating. Is there a way to fiddle it out ? I measured the Ohm of the coils, Bipolar 4 wires only, and it is 27 Ohm each coil. Can I assume a 12V rating and so the amperage used for this stepper is 0.45 Amp ? Thanks for...

    Need programmer against payment ...

Hi and thank you. I just see a little problem. My stepper motors are rated with a consumption of 2.0 Amp and the board has 2.0 Amp has Peak current. The other point is it takes all fun out of the equation o_O because I also want to learn a bit about programming as I have done in the past...

    Need programmer against payment ...

Hi, I am new here and after I just finished building my robotic arm (BTW, it is the first attempt so far) due to an idea of a friend who wants to play chess with it and now somehow he got cold feet in regard to programming it. Yes, Sh… happens as Forrest said. The program so far at the moment...

    Helmholtz coils ...

After making some more test theory and practice do fit with of course the normal errors we have as amateurs and simple measuring methods like our cell phones Now I bought some sensitive bipolar hall sensors and will built some measuring devices. Nothing serious really just having fun. Thanks...

    Helmholtz coils ...

Hi, BTW it looks like I misunderstood the formula for calculation. A single coil has in my case 9 turns and 60mm diameter. I input 18 turns and I guess that is why I have the double plus/minus the errors. After correcting my calculation the measured value was more or less the calculated...

Thanks and I am using a regulated power supply

    Helmholtz coils ...

Hi, I made some more test with the phone in a different position and not centered but resting on the inner diameter I thought from what I read that the strongest field is in the center or did I misunderstand that ¿?

    Helmholtz coils ...

... theory and practice Hi, I just built a small Helmholtz coil and see a discrepancy between theory and practice. The calculation using two different fornulas have as result the exact same value in Tesla or µT. Below in the attached images. Now measuring with a magnetometer of a cell phone...

    Question for the Oscilloscope Experts

Hi, Yesterday it looked like I made a major step forward in that sense that I saw sometimes no longer a peak bottom curve over a period of time but saw a longer peak curve. Looks like the simple LP filter I have using 100ηF capcacitor and a 100K resistor is working from time to time but on very...

    20 Revolution Position Sensor?

Hi Mike, Could you please post an image af the part you want to drive ? Perhaps I have more ideas. What is the speed you want ? In how much time do you want to move the 20 turns ? What is the pitch of the threaded rod ? I could compare with my focusers and tell you how fast the desired...
