    Does car engine maintain RPMs??

If an alternator requires more current ... it becomes harder to rotate.. agreed If an electrical load is added to your car alternator... the alternator is harder to turn ... which makes it harder for the engine to turn ... when this happens how does the engine continue to spin at the same RPM...

Using Car Booster Pack for Different Applications

hello I tried using the 9V with a diode but it did not work I used the following setup: ------ + ----- |> -------------------- POSITIVE LEAD OF BOOSTER 9v DIODE ------ - -------------------------------NEGATIVE LEAD OF BOOSTER hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Using Car Booster Pack for Different Applications

Thanks for the reply MikeML Can anyone explain what would happen if I did try connecting a smaller SLA battery to activate the relay?? The package is pretty rugged and looks hard to open... Would the boost just charge the smaller SLA until it reaches the same voltage as the booster battery??

Using Car Booster Pack for Different Applications

Also I was wondering how I would calculate how long the battery would last power say 500watts .. given that it is 22AH ..

Using Car Booster Pack for Different Applications

Hello I bought a motomaster 22AH Lead Acid Booste car Booster Pack with 700 CCA I wanted to use it for boosting my car in cold weather AND other things such as power a 1000 WATT inverter in cases such as a power failure. Problem: The booster only activates if it senses a voltage of > 3.5...

What gauge wire should I use from AMP to Subwoofer?

Like I said I'm no audiophile.. My ears are pretty daft to the difference between OK and GREEEEEEEAT (tony the tiger) Is anyone able to tell me what Gauge I should use from the AMP to the SUB? I tried to use volt meter on the AMP outputs but got only order of millivolts

What gauge wire should I use from AMP to Subwoofer?

The CEA-2006 Power Rating is ([email protected] = 1%THD+N), S/N 75dBA (Ref. 1W into 4Ohm):300W x 1 so it has been officially auditied correct? Why on earth would they use 40 ohm? or is that 4ohm?

Also, what does THD + N mean (the N part)

What gauge wire should I use from AMP to Subwoofer?

Hey guru, The Alpine site states: RMS Power (at 14.4V THD+N, 20-200Hz) Per channel into 4 ohms: 300W x 1 (0.08% THD) Per channel into 2 ohms: 500W x 1 OK I am using one 4 OHM sub So the RMS power is 300W not the peak ... 300 is the RMS from their site. This thing really is...

What gauge wire should I use from AMP to Subwoofer?

Hey Hey, I just bought the 500W RMS Alpine sub amp from Futureshop that is on sale this week It's marked down $100!! from 299.99 to 199.99 .. I highly recommend it! My question: From the 12 v car Battery I am using 8 AWG for the + and - Leads.. since the voltage is so low and...
