    voltage controlled resistors

switched capacitor. Would I need to make a voltage contolled oscillator then amplify that loads to get a square wave, then use that squarewave to alternate the on offs of two mosfets (acting as the switched part of the switched capacitor). Even then the circuit still isn't linear, the equivilent...

    voltage controlled resistors

I was just thinking of mabey using optocouplers actually. It seems odd that the world of electronics hasn't really produced a good 3 pin IC that is a linear voltage dependent resistor. One of the problems i was having when simulating a fet in the feedback loop was that the voltage aplied to the...

    voltage controlled resistors

Thank you, could someone post an example of the mosfet version using the mosfet as a vcr to control the gain in an inverting op amp amplifier, a simple example but its just to demonstrate the principle to me.

    voltage controlled resistors

hi all this is my first post (i think, i have been using this forum for reference for a while), I was wondering if there is a way of using a voltage, set by a potentiometer, to control the resistance of 2 or more resistors in 2 active filters one band pass and one notch, the resistors set the...

    help with some electronic terms

Why are you talking about Radio? The original question was "4)if i have an Op-amp based filter, how do i calculate its SNR?" I was just helping clarify a question. Is ulot even making a radio filter?

    help with some electronic terms

Thats a good way of mesuring signal to noise. but the equation is the other way round (20 log(Vn/Vs)) will give you the noise to signal ratio. (20 log(Vs/Vn)) will give you signal to noise. Sorry if im being a bit pedantic.

    Specific question related to radio

Thanks for your quick replys. I wanted to make it my self to save money and so i can have the exact specifications i want, and yes I do plan on selling these things once i make them. How come there would be NRZ issues? This is why i want to do it myself, I would transmit a signal that is...

    Specific question related to radio

Hi all, this is my first post probably of many. This question is for those of you that have more experience of radio electronics I want to transfer a digital signal about 400m. It needs to be relitively low power 2-3 AA batteries will be used, I am not sure of the data rate of the signal...
