Whoever touches first wins. For monitoring I plan on using a wireless system such as zigbee or so. It is for a game of sword fighting sort of like a lightsaber.
I have two metal rod with a button on the tip of them. The rods will trigger an alarm when the the user touches something with them. I need a way to determine if the rods are touching each other when this happens. The rods will be on a completely different power supply.
