Once a year, capacitor reforming is required if stored for more than a year. the process is to slowly increase the voltage and bring it to rated voltage. the ramp up is 2 hours and more. this is how we store and handle devices with large capacitors. examples, VFD, VFD power cells, inverters etc.
The transmitter is underneath the main board and shield by copper foil as you can see. You should find out the power wires connecting to it. the component is an inductor, used as a filter some where in series to positive or negative supply of the transmitter from main board. check near DC socket.
As far as i observed uf and MFD are used interchangeably. if you see physical size or mechanical dimensions of both to be similar, no worries. if MFD is referred to be milli farad, then the size should be 1000 times large.
I assume it is a hydraulic servo system to turn the wheels based on steering wheel position. The issue may be wrong feedback. if feedback fails the system will over turn. Another issue to check is electric servo valve (LVDT) if any. this should receive signal from ECU (current signal) to adjust...
It should be very simple and you can make it to work by trail and error.
Toroid transformer -- you can pull one from an old computer power supply and it should serve the purpose
wire size -- what you have should work / you can pull from Ethernet cable
wrap over another winding-- is fine
You are welcome, mean time you can still add hysteresis by using the feedback and adjust it as required, i have attached a quick sketch on how you can achieve it.
you have to connect the CT secondary across a suitable resistor to convert the current into voltage (AC), 0.1 ohm will give you 10V AC @100A, convert it using a rectifier and get DC output.
Use an OPAMP comparator (set point and hysteresis can be varied) to get forward / reverse command or use...
Its looks very low value resistor and 0.68 ohms, check if both are connected in parallel or not. Replacing the resistor itself may not resolve the issue. the issue may be shorted transistor or some thing else.
it may be difficult to find the schematic. if the purpose is to repair it, you can do it without schematic. most of the time one of the tiny electrolyte capacitor (the one across the power source of the driver IC) become faulty (less value). you can change it and check.
you must be able to over come the challenge by adding more external hardwires. instead of holding a particular output at high for width "ON" time you can use external latch. another signal to unlatch. you can first develop and test a single waveform circuit and think of multiplexing rest of the...
