My background is a UK degree-equivalent qualification in Electronics and Communications Engineering, starting out as a trainee electronics 'fault-finder' at a UK manufacturer of "Hi-Fi" and later VHS video equipment, though I've been out of that field since the mid 80s when I started to segue into IT before IT was a 'proper' career.
