Scary! What is a "test screwdriver?!?" If you shorted something out while "testing" your circuit, there might be several components that bought the farm.
Make sure you don't have single filament bulbs where dual filaments -- or vise versa -- are supposed to be. E.g. - 1156 bulbs instead of 1157. Just a long-shot idea...
I don't think those 4 black hole are holes, I think they're chunks of grease.
It's hard to see anything with all that over-sprayed paint.

NO! The romex can clearly be seen as outlined in yellow below!
It's all coming in 100% correctly and safely, and is clamped down correctly!
There's a 14-3 cable on the right and a 14-2 cable on the left coming in at the bottom towards the top with about 1/4" of romex shielding showing.
Look closer. It's not "poking through holes," it's coming in as 2 parallel Romex cables, and clamped correctly by the bottom clamp.
The wires (and the inside of the box) have all been spray-painted white! You can plainly see the black wires where the wire nut has been removed.
