Less noisy alternative to servo. Muscle / nitinol wire?

Not exactly... They're controlled more simply than a stepper. This is a question easily answered with a simple internet search.

Less noisy alternative to servo. Muscle / nitinol wire?

How about a piezo motor? Very quiet, very efficient, very small..

2 circuits on 1 PC board with common ground plus added tone control.

The basic formula for a parabolic function is y= x^2. Lord knows why I'm even commenting on this ridiculous thread...

Logitech Z103 2.1 Stereo Audio Amplifier no Sound Ouput

Scary! What is a "test screwdriver?!?" If you shorted something out while "testing" your circuit, there might be several components that bought the farm.

    strange flasher behavior

Make sure you don't have single filament bulbs where dual filaments -- or vise versa -- are supposed to be. E.g. - 1156 bulbs instead of 1157. Just a long-shot idea...

    Vanity light electrical wiring.

I don't think those 4 black hole are holes, I think they're chunks of grease. It's hard to see anything with all that over-sprayed paint. In any case, this should be a very easy installation for the OP. No real need to call an electrician unless he really doesn't know what he's doing. In that...

NO! The romex can clearly be seen as outlined in yellow below! It's all coming in 100% correctly and safely, and is clamped down correctly! There's a 14-3 cable on the right and a 14-2 cable on the left coming in at the bottom towards the top with about 1/4" of romex shielding showing.

Look closer. It's not "poking through holes," it's coming in as 2 parallel Romex cables, and clamped correctly by the bottom clamp. The wires (and the inside of the box) have all been spray-painted white! You can plainly see the black wires where the wire nut has been removed.
