I am a hobbyist only. I first got interested in electronics in H.S. and further taught myself with the help of friends who were EE majors at Georgia Tech. . I joined the forum because I often need simple circuits to enable special effects for my animatronics, props and gardens. E.g., I designed a circuit to convert an audio source to a 0-4.5VDC envelope, read by a microprocessor and used to control a servo driving an animatronic mouth. Or programmed an Arduino to control a set of animatronic eyes based on motion sensing. I've developed more in the digital world. My devices have been used in the classroom as well as controlling mechatronics.
