Selection Guidelines - Convert DC Wall Wart to AC Wall Wart

In addition to the above, look at the input voltage, If it's a single voltage (like the one in post #13,) or a narrow range, ie. 110-120VAC then it's most likely to be what you want. But if it's a wide range, ie. 90-250VAC, then it'll be a smps type.

Selection Guidelines - Convert DC Wall Wart to AC Wall Wart

Another option would be to use a 12 Volt SMPS wallwart, and add a 32KHz watch crystal driven time base.

Kawai KDP 80 Electronic Piano Dead

I would not use that particular transformer for this purpose. Your link does go to multiple transformers, but I'm assuming that you're using the 50VA unit. Now, I haven't looked at the full datasheet for the transformer, but the VA rating is for the entire transformer. Although it does have a...

    Photo interrupter Connections

Do the wire colors in the machine drawing match those of the manufacturers datasheet for the interrupter?

Induction motor At constant RMS current and different frequencies.

Generally, the supply voltage is constant and the load draws whatever current it needs to do the work at hand. You can supply a constant current, but then the supply voltage must vary to match the required power. Generally, constant current supplies are really voltage supplies whose output...

    100uF bypass Caps?

Been there, done that. Worn out the t-shirt.

    Transient voltage issue

The 78L905 has an input up to 30Volts, so wouldn't need a preregular. That said, I often need to make 5V from higher rails. My typical preregular is an N-channel mosfet with a zener setting the gate voltage. As the mosfet takes effectively zero gate current, the +rail to gate resistor can be...

    Newbie Level-0 LED Question

Be aware, LEDs come in a very wide range, even for parts that you might think of as being equivalent. A quick search on DigiKey for Red, T-1 3/4 LEDs gave over 600 items. - The forward voltage ranged from 1.6V to 14V, allthough anything above ~2.5V probably has an integrated resistor. - The...

LED circuit for 1/6 scale diorama

I think that this circuit is close to what you want. See the timing diagram for what the three LEDs will do. Transistors Q1-Q3 are used to drive your LEDs better than what the CD4017 can do directly. Their collector pins are connected to the negative side of your LEDs. The actual value of...

Arduino picking up button presses on power up of the board

Put a power up delay in your arduino code so that it ignores everything for a few seconds.

Project using a Credit Card Payment Terminal as a switch device :))

In order to know what options there are for repurposing the internal keypad, we need good pictures of that.

using a RTC in SF basic

Trying to troubleshoot a clocked logic circuit is like running the Boston marathon in snowshoes. U2 Pin is an output and does not ned to be connected to anything unless you're using the signal that will be there. It's OK to connect it to your uC, but that pin must be set as an input so it...

using a RTC in SF basic

What activity does your scope show on U2 pins RST, SDI, SFTCLK and LCHCLK? Why do you have SDO tied to U1.RA4?
